Before you sell this Switch

Nintendo’s steps: back up anything you want to keep with Save Data Cloud first, since deleting a user removes its save data from the console. Then open System Settings from the HOME Menu, scroll to System, scroll to the bottom and choose Formatting Options > Restore Factory Settings, entering your Parental Controls PIN if one is set. Read the screen, select Next, then Restore Factory Settings to finish. Nintendo says the console tries to connect to the internet during this to unlink your Nintendo Account, so connect to Wi-Fi first. It also notes your account and purchases stay on your account and can be relinked later. If this console is registered as your pass-enabled console, deregister it on the console through the eShop. Nintendo’s own terms say to unlink your Nintendo Account when you sell a Nintendo device. Take out any microSD card or game cartridge and keep what you want.

What to bring

The system, the dock and AC adapter (not needed for a Lite), the HDMI cable, and every Joy-Con and strap you have. Add the Joy-Con grip, the Pro Controller and any games you want to sell with it. The original box helps but is not required.
